Orangevale is an unincorporated, mostly residential community in Sacramento County, next to Citrus Heights, Fair Oaks, and Folsom. It has no corporate campus driving its e-waste. The businesses here are small: shops and offices along Greenback Lane, some of them in converted storefronts, plus plenty of people working from home. Their volumes are small too, but a retired hard drive full of client files still needs a certificate of destruction.
Our Orangevale clients are local shops and offices retiring point-of-sale systems and office electronics from storefronts along Greenback Lane. We don't provide residential services, and that includes home offices. Orangevale households and home-based businesses can recycle electronics through our sister company, Secure Recycle, at our Sacramento address, 3921 Pell Circle.
For Orangevale businesses, computer recycling usually means laptops, desktops, monitors, routers and printers, along with TVs, all battery chemistries, and hard drives with certified destruction. Shops that want to watch their drives destroyed can book on-site shredding at the storefront.
A small shop gets the same program as a large account, just scaled down. We drop off a labeled container or two, explain what goes in each, and our crew makes the pickup. The load is tracked under its own ticket number and processed in Sacramento, where drives are wiped or destroyed before anything is resold or recycled. You get a certificate and report at the end.
No. California's universal waste rules keep most electronics and batteries out of the garbage, whether they come from a shop on Greenback Lane or a spare bedroom. Orangevale households can take theirs to Secure Recycle, our sister company in Sacramento.
Even a single-laptop load from Orangevale is processed under our ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications, with the same documented chain of custody as our largest commercial accounts.
Shops and offices can request a quote for pickup, or deliver loads to our recycling center at 3921 Pell Circle, Sacramento, CA 95838. We also serve nearby Folsom, Fair Oaks, and Citrus Heights.
No obligation. We respond same business day.
Reviews
A little bit off the beaten track in Natomas, but Modern Waste quickly and efficiently helped me recycle my broken Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries at a reasonable $/lb fee (Sac county e-waste will not accept these items). Ramiro and Vincent were very friendly and helpful.
Chris was awesome! He came in and picked up all of the e-waste we had ready for him. He was polite and professional throughout the entire process. He handled the equipment with care, including the site equipment that was already in place. I am very happy with his service and appreciate the great job he did.
Aaron and Vincent were awesome, excellent customer service!
