Reviews
A little bit off the beaten track in Natomas, but Modern Waste quickly and efficiently helped me recycle my broken Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries at a reasonable $/lb fee (Sac county e-waste will not accept these items). Ramiro and Vincent were very friendly and helpful.
Chris was awesome! He came in and picked up all of the e-waste we had ready for him. He was polite and professional throughout the entire process. He handled the equipment with care, including the site equipment that was already in place. I am very happy with his service and appreciate the great job he did.
Aaron and Vincent were awesome, excellent customer service!

We have answers.
Hard disk drives, solid-state drives and data tapes. Phones, USB flash drives and CDs or DVDs that don't suit the shredder are degaussed to erase their data.
If drives are still inside laptops, desktops or servers, mention it when you book, because removing them adds time to the visit.
Yes. The truck parks at your loading dock, the drives are inventoried with your team present, and your staff watch the shredding as it happens. Tell us about badge rules, escorts or dock hours when you book so the visit fits your security process.
There is no flat rate. Drive count has the biggest effect, followed by how often you need service and how far your site is from our Sacramento base. Serial-level certificates take more preparation than a basic certificate.
Businesses on a regular shredding cycle often get better per-visit pricing than a single appointment.
A Certificate of Destruction, issued before the crew leaves your site. Service tiers range from a basic certificate up to DOD 5220.22-M and NIST 800-88 documentation that lists the make, model, method and serial number of each drive. Pick the level your auditors expect when you book.
Minimums depend on your location and whether the visit fits a route we already run. Share your drive count and address and we'll confirm.
The truck travels throughout California and to the Reno and Sparks area of Nevada, and every visit is run by our own crew.
Tell us how many drives you have and where, and we'll quote the visit.
