Modern Waste Solutions, Inc. (MWS) has been in the recycling and data destruction industry since 1999 and our main office is located in Northern California at 3921 Pell Circle in the City of Sacramento. We provide service throughout California and Northern Nevada.

MWS is committed to customer privacy and sustainable solutions. As such, the following steps are followed for every customer load received:
- Secure receiving and tracking- Each client load is tracked with a ticket number in our database and attached to the load staged inside our secure facility.
- Triage- Each load is separated based on whether any devices may have data, if they are suitable for reuse, then by category of device or component or material.
- Treatment- Hard drives are removed and destroyed or wiped to NIST 800-88 standards, devices and materials are separated for reuse and testing or dismantling and recycling.
- Responsible Recycling- We carefully audit and track materials sent from us to our downstream partners for further reuse, recycling, destruction and end-of-life processing.
We are subject to inspections, audits and imposed standards from various agencies, both private and public:
- California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC)
- Cal EPA
- Cal OSHA
- Various City of Sacramento Agencies

Bonnie is responsible for managing the financials at Modern Waste. Banking, Insurance, Book Keeping, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable are the primary areas of focus for her.

Vincent is responsible for the accurate recording of incoming and outgoing shipments. He tracks incoming materials by customer, type and weight. He insures proper packing, labeling, and logisitcs coordination for outgoing materials. Vincent can assist in any department or training area as needed.

Pavel is responsible for accurate and safe sorting and tear down of electronic devices. He also leads client projects in the field when they require deinstallation and/or technical expertise.

A little bit off the beaten track in Natomas, but Modern Waste quickly and efficiently helped me recycle my broken Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries at a reasonable $/lb fee (Sac county e-waste will not accept these items). Ramiro and Vincent were very friendly and helpful.
