ISO 45001 Certification

ISO 45001:2018 is the international standard for occupational health and safety management systems. It replaced the older OHSAS 18001 specification. It requires an organization to identify hazards, assess and control risks, meet the legal requirements that apply to it, involve workers, and keep improving its safety performance. Like ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, it follows the common ISO structure, so the three systems work together.

Recycling electronics and batteries involves real hazards: heavy equipment, sharp and broken material, lead, mercury-containing lamps, pressurized cylinders, and lithium batteries that can ignite when damaged. Our ISO 45001 system relies on hazard assessments, safety audits and employee training for that work:

• Battery safety: Damaged, swollen or leaking batteries are pulled out of routine collection and handled separately. Damaged EV battery packs are inspected, stabilized and broken down on site before transport rather than shipped intact.
• Heavy and large equipment: Server racks, UPS systems and bulk loads are moved with the right equipment and crew, planned around the site's access and loading conditions.
• Hazardous items: Lamps and ballasts are collected and processed in their own streams.
• Training: Our crews are trained for this work, and the Training step also shows your staff how to spot damaged batteries and keep hazardous items out of general collection.

When our crew works at your site, your facility and your people share the risk. Government agencies, school districts, healthcare organizations and larger companies often require vendors to show a documented safety program. ISO 45001 certification, audited by an independent body, gives your vendor review that evidence.
