Placer County is one of the fastest-growing counties in the Sacramento region. At one end, Auburn has been the county seat since the Gold Rush era, and its county departments retire records-heavy equipment on formal schedules. At the other, Roseville's hospital campuses, rail-served distribution centers and retail corridors produce a steady volume of retired electronics. Between them, Rocklin's business parks and Lincoln's growing neighborhoods add everything from IT asset refreshes to small-business turnover.

Any retired business electronics qualify: desktops, laptops, servers and networking equipment, monitors and TVs, copiers and printers, phone systems, point-of-sale systems, UPS units, battery-embedded devices, all battery chemistries and hard drives. Depending on the load:

- Data center and UPS decommissioning for server rooms and battery strings.
- Secure data destruction for county and healthcare drives.
- Electronic waste recycling for everything else.
Placer County is close to our Sacramento facility, so most stops ride on a regular route. Each account runs through six steps: containers, training, pickup by our own crew, tracking under a ticket number, processing with reuse ahead of recycling, and certificates and reports. Corporate and municipal accounts get the same documentation under our ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certifications.
Our pickups are for businesses and agencies; Modern Waste Solutions doesn't provide residential services. Placer County households can take old electronics to our sister company, Secure Recycle, at 3921 Pell Circle in Sacramento, a short drive for Roseville and Rocklin residents. CalRecycle lists other collection sites in the county. Electronics and batteries are universal waste in California and can't go in the trash.
Do you offer recurring pickups?
Yes. We run recurring route-based pickups and on-call pickups, and many Placer County clients use a schedule for routine turnover plus an on-call visit for a larger refresh.
How soon do certificates arrive?
Reports and certificates are released once processing and reconciliation are complete. If you have an audit or lease deadline, tell us at the start so the schedule is planned back from that date.

A little bit off the beaten track in Natomas, but Modern Waste quickly and efficiently helped me recycle my broken Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries at a reasonable $/lb fee (Sac county e-waste will not accept these items). Ramiro and Vincent were very friendly and helpful.
