Lincoln is an unusual mix for a city its size: Sun City Lincoln Hills brought in one of the largest age-55-plus master-planned communities in Northern California, with thousands of residences and its own clubhouses generating a distinct kind of electronics stream, while new subdivisions on the city's edges keep filling with young families drawn by newer, more affordable housing. Retirees in Sun City are downsizing electronics that skew older and smaller — cordless phones, older desktop towers, digital cameras, and the button-cell and lithium batteries that power hearing aids and mobility scooters — while newer households a few miles away are cycling through laptops, tablets, gaming consoles, streaming devices, and smart-home gear like doorbell cameras and thermostats. That's two very different waste streams converging on one fast-growing city, and neither fits neatly into a standard curbside recycling program built around a single, uniform household profile.
- Community and clubhouse offices: pickup for the office computers, printers and AV equipment that community centers retire.
- Local businesses: retail and service offices supporting Lincoln's growing population with their own point-of-sale and back-office equipment turnover.
Lincoln households, in Sun City and the new subdivisions alike, aren't part of our service, since we work with businesses and institutions. Our sister company, Secure Recycle, handles consumer electronics at the same Sacramento location, 3921 Pell Circle.
Desktops, laptops, tablets, gaming consoles, streaming and smart-home devices, monitors, printers, cordless and mobile phones, all battery chemistries (including the button and lithium cells common in hearing aids and mobility devices), and hard drives with certified destruction, for a business pickup of any size. Copiers, phone systems, TVs, modems and UPS backups qualify as well.
No. California's universal waste rules keep electronics and batteries out of household trash, and that includes button cells and hearing-aid batteries, which are easy to toss by accident. Collect them in a jar at home and take them with the rest of your electronics to Secure Recycle at 3921 Pell Circle. If Sacramento is too far, CalRecycle lists Placer County collection sites.
Business pickups, including computer recycling for Lincoln offices, follow six steps: containers, training, pickup by our own crew on the Placer County route, tracking under a ticket number, reuse-first processing, and certificates and reports. Every Lincoln pickup is processed under our ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001-certified process, with chain-of-custody tracking and a certificate of recycling or destruction on request.
If you're retiring equipment from a local business or a community center office, request a quote and we'll fit the pickup into our Placer County route. We also serve Roseville, Auburn, and Rocklin nearby.
No obligation. We respond same business day.
Reviews
A little bit off the beaten track in Natomas, but Modern Waste quickly and efficiently helped me recycle my broken Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries at a reasonable $/lb fee (Sac county e-waste will not accept these items). Ramiro and Vincent were very friendly and helpful.
Chris was awesome! He came in and picked up all of the e-waste we had ready for him. He was polite and professional throughout the entire process. He handled the equipment with care, including the site equipment that was already in place. I am very happy with his service and appreciate the great job he did.
