A little bit off the beaten track in Natomas, but Modern Waste quickly and efficiently helped me recycle my broken Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries at a reasonable $/lb fee (Sac county e-waste will not accept these items). Ramiro and Vincent were very friendly and helpful.
Vallejo's history as home to the Mare Island Naval Shipyard left the city with a working-class, industrial character that's now blending with waterfront redevelopment, new small businesses, and renovated commercial buildings. That transition creates two distinct e-waste streams at once: legacy industrial and networking equipment coming out of older buildings, and new office and retail electronics moving in as redevelopment continues. Contractors and property managers working on Mare Island and downtown Vallejo projects regularly uncover decades-old equipment that standard haulers won't touch. Vallejo's waterfront location and ferry connection to San Francisco have also drawn a wave of new commuter-friendly businesses in recent years, adding fresh commercial electronics to a city still working through decades of shipyard-era infrastructure.
- Redevelopment and property management firms — electronics and networking equipment left behind or removed during commercial building renovations.
- Marine, industrial, and trades businesses — legacy equipment, control electronics, and battery-powered tools retired as operations modernize.
- Small waterfront businesses and offices — day-to-day computer and point-of-sale turnover as new tenants move into revitalized spaces.
- City and community redevelopment agencies — retired administrative equipment and records-adjacent hardware tied to Mare Island planning and revitalization work.
Desktops, laptops, monitors, networking equipment, industrial control electronics, marine and trade tool batteries, phones, printers, and hard drives, all processed with certified destruction and documentation regardless of whether the load is a legacy building pull or a new-tenant office clear-out. We're comfortable working in older industrial buildings and shipyard-adjacent facilities where access and staging can be more complicated than a standard office park.
Redevelopment jobs often uncover equipment nobody has inventoried, so we start by walking the space with the contractor or property manager. From there it's our six-step program. We stage containers by building phase and show the crew on site what to keep separate: old batteries, CRT monitors and anything that might hold data. Our own team does each pickup, and every load is tracked, processed in Sacramento and documented in certificates and a report the project file can keep.
Someone still has to deal with it, and in California it can't go in the demolition dumpster. Most discarded electronics and batteries are universal waste, and the business that discards them stays responsible until they reach an authorized recycler.
We don't provide residential services, so Vallejo residents can't book a pickup. Households can recycle electronics through our sister company, Secure Recycle, at the same Sacramento address, 3921 Pell Circle, or find a Solano County collection site through CalRecycle.
Every Vallejo pickup follows our ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001-certified process, so redevelopment contractors and small business owners alike get the same documented, responsible handling and paperwork.
Request a quote and let us know whether your load is a building clear-out or ongoing office turnover so we can size the right pickup. For larger redevelopment projects, we can also schedule multiple pickups as different phases of a building or site are cleared. We also serve nearby Fairfield, Vacaville, Novato, and Napa.
No obligation. We respond same business day.

This was our first time working with MWS and they were amazing! Quick response time, efficient, and friendly. Ivan was the team member who was on site for the pickup, and he was great. He worked quickly, is very knowledgeable, and is so kind. It was so easy working with him. We are looking forward to using MWS for our E-waste and Universal waste needs in the future. - Sacramento City College Sustainability

Chris was awesome! He came in and picked up all of the e-waste we had ready for him. He was polite and professional throughout the entire process. He handled the equipment with care, including the site equipment that was already in place. I am very happy with his service and appreciate the great job he did.
