A little bit off the beaten track in Natomas, but Modern Waste quickly and efficiently helped me recycle my broken Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries at a reasonable $/lb fee (Sac county e-waste will not accept these items). Ramiro and Vincent were very friendly and helpful.
Delano sits in the middle of one of California's most historically significant agricultural landscapes — the table-grape growing region that gave rise to the United Farm Workers movement. That agricultural base still drives the local economy today, supported by a layer of light-industrial shops and equipment suppliers that keep the packing houses running. Together they generate a steady mix of office and shop-floor electronics that most Kern County haulers treat as an afterthought, focusing their attention on bigger contracts in Bakersfield instead. We built our Delano route specifically so that doesn't happen.
- Table-grape packing houses and cold-storage operations — scale terminals, cooler monitoring equipment, and inventory systems retired between seasons, often on short notice as harvest winds down.
- Light-industrial and equipment-supply shops — shop computers, point-of-sale systems, and shared-use battery recycling for businesses supplying the packing houses.
- City and local government offices — routine IT turnover with documented data destruction that meets public-records retention requirements.
Desktops, laptops, scale and inventory terminals, monitors, printers, phones, all battery chemistries, and hard drives destroyed with a documented chain of custody when confidentiality requires it. Shop-floor computers, networking equipment, and point-of-sale systems from light-industrial suppliers are welcome on the same pickup, and we can accommodate seasonal volume spikes tied to the packing calendar.
Beyond the packing-house equipment, copiers, phone systems, TVs, modems and routers, UPS battery backups and battery-embedded devices all qualify. Forklift and other large batteries should be listed on the quote so we can bring the right containers.
Not one of ours. Our recycling center is our facility in Sacramento, and we come to Delano businesses on our Kern County route. We don't provide residential services. Delano residents with household electronics should use a local collection site from CalRecycle's list, or our sister company, Secure Recycle, at 3921 Pell Circle in Sacramento.
Packing houses retiring equipment at the end of a season get the same six steps as a city office. We supply containers, train the people filling them, and send our own crew for the pickup. The load is tracked under a ticket number, processed at our facility with reuse considered first, and documented with a certificate and report.
Delano pickups follow our ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001-certified process, with full chain-of-custody tracking and a certificate of recycling or destruction issued for every load, whether it comes from a packing house, a light-industrial shop, or a city office.
No. Discarded electronics and batteries are universal waste under California rules, so they can't go into a dumpster or cooler-room trash. Set them aside for pickup. For computer recycling in Delano, machines from city offices and packing-house scale houses are treated as data-bearing, and their drives are destroyed or wiped through secure data destruction before anything is reused.
Request a quote and let us know your pickup volume — we regularly route between Delano and the rest of Kern County, so no job is too small to be worth the drive. Seasonal packing-house cleanouts and one-off office pickups are both welcome on the same route. We also serve nearby Bakersfield and Oildale, and can combine stops across all three.
No obligation. We respond same business day.

This was our first time working with MWS and they were amazing! Quick response time, efficient, and friendly. Ivan was the team member who was on site for the pickup, and he was great. He worked quickly, is very knowledgeable, and is so kind. It was so easy working with him. We are looking forward to using MWS for our E-waste and Universal waste needs in the future. - Sacramento City College Sustainability

Chris was awesome! He came in and picked up all of the e-waste we had ready for him. He was polite and professional throughout the entire process. He handled the equipment with care, including the site equipment that was already in place. I am very happy with his service and appreciate the great job he did.
