Clovis has grown quickly as a residential and small-business community just outside Fresno, with a school district, city offices, and a steady base of independent businesses that need reliable, documented recycling — not necessarily industrial volume, but consistent and compliant.
- Schools and the school district — computer lab refreshes, retired classroom devices, and district-office equipment with public-records-aware handling.
- City and municipal offices — routine hardware turnover with documentation for public accountability.
- Independent businesses — retailers, medical/dental offices, and professional services replacing aging office equipment.
Desktops, laptops, classroom and lab devices, monitors, printers, phones, all battery chemistries, and hard drives with certified destruction, scaled for a school district refresh or a single small office. Copiers, phone systems, TVs and projectors, modems and routers, UPS backups and audio and video equipment qualify too.
A classroom refresh often includes laptop carts and tablet chargers with built-in batteries. Those are fine to include; just keep damaged or swollen batteries out of the general bins and tell us about them when you book.
It depends on who is recycling and what the items are. For a business or school pickup, the price depends on the item list, quantity, location and whether data destruction is needed, and working equipment with resale value can offset part of the cost once it's been evaluated. We don't assume that value in advance. Send an item list and we'll quote it.
We don't provide residential services. Clovis residents can use a Fresno County collection site listed by CalRecycle, or our sister company, Secure Recycle, which serves households from our Sacramento address at 3921 Pell Circle. Throwing them in the trash isn't an option: California's universal waste rules keep electronics and batteries out of household trash and dumpsters.
School and city clients usually want the paperwork trail spelled out, so here are the six steps:
- Containers: we supply bins and labels for classrooms, labs or a district warehouse.
- Training: our Field Service Managers show staff what goes where.
- Pickup: our own crew collects the load; we don't subcontract.
- Tracking: every load gets a ticket number and weight, with serial numbers when your scope includes them.
- Processing: drives are wiped or destroyed, and equipment is reused before it's recycled.
- Reports: you receive certificates and a report for public-records files.
Clovis pickups follow our ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001-certified process, with the documented chain-of-custody that public-sector clients in particular expect.
Request a quote — school district and municipal clients can coordinate a scheduled program rather than one-off pickups. We also serve nearby Fresno, Bakersfield, and Modesto.
No obligation. We respond same business day.
Reviews
A little bit off the beaten track in Natomas, but Modern Waste quickly and efficiently helped me recycle my broken Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries at a reasonable $/lb fee (Sac county e-waste will not accept these items). Ramiro and Vincent were very friendly and helpful.
Chris was awesome! He came in and picked up all of the e-waste we had ready for him. He was polite and professional throughout the entire process. He handled the equipment with care, including the site equipment that was already in place. I am very happy with his service and appreciate the great job he did.
Aaron and Vincent were awesome, excellent customer service!
