Pacifica's identity is coastal and residential: surf shops along Highway 1 and small local businesses tucked into Linda Mar and Rockaway Beach. It's a different rhythm than the dense office corridors just over the hill in San Bruno or San Mateo, and the electronics that need recycling here reflect that: small-business volume instead of corporate fleets, from customers who appreciate a low-pressure visit. Plenty of Pacifica homes have a closet full of old chargers and dead laptops too. We don't provide residential services, so those go to our sister company, Secure Recycle, at our Sacramento address, 3921 Pell Circle.

TVs, laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, phones, small networking gear, and all battery chemistries, collected with the same certified process whether it's one shop's back room or a full small-business clear-out. Surf and rental shops often add card readers and the rechargeable batteries from handheld gear. Scheduling is flexible for a community that runs at its own pace.
Our six-step program starts with a labeled container and a quick rundown for staff on what goes in it. When it fills, our own crew makes the pickup and the load travels to Sacramento, where it's logged and processed. Drives are wiped or destroyed first, working gear is considered for reuse, and the rest is recycled. You get paperwork showing where it went.
Not the trash: California's universal waste rules keep TVs, computers and batteries out of household garbage. Businesses can add TVs to a scheduled pickup. Pacifica residents can take theirs to Secure Recycle in Sacramento, or find a collection site closer to the Peninsula on CalRecycle's list.

A little bit off the beaten track in Natomas, but Modern Waste quickly and efficiently helped me recycle my broken Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries at a reasonable $/lb fee (Sac county e-waste will not accept these items). Ramiro and Vincent were very friendly and helpful.
