Los Banos is a smaller agricultural community in Merced County, and a lot of e-waste recyclers won't run a truck out this far for anything less than a full warehouse load. We do, because Los Banos sits on our existing Central Valley route between the Bay Area and Fresno.
- Small local businesses: retailers, offices, and service businesses with modest, infrequent e-waste volume.
- Agricultural operations: office and dispatch equipment tied to farming operations in the surrounding area.
Desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, phones, all battery chemistries, and hard drives with certified destruction — no minimum load size required for pickups already on our route.
The list also covers copiers, phone systems, TVs, modems and routers, UPS backups, and battery-embedded devices such as handheld radios and cordless tools. Dispatch equipment from a farm operation qualifies like any office computer.
Not one of ours. Our recycling center is in Sacramento, and we come to Los Banos businesses on our Central Valley route. We don't provide residential services. For household electronics, Los Banos residents should look at CalRecycle's list for a Merced County collection site; our sister company, Secure Recycle, takes household electronics at our Sacramento address, 3921 Pell Circle, but that's a long drive from here.
No. California's universal waste rules prohibit putting electronic devices and batteries in trash bins or dumpsters, so a small business with a few old computers should hold them for a pickup rather than toss them.
On our six-step program. We provide containers and a short training on what goes where, then our own crew does the pickup on the next route run. At our facility the load is tracked under a ticket number, processed with drives wiped or destroyed before reuse, and documented in a certificate and report.
Los Banos pickups follow the same ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001-certified process as our largest metro accounts, with full chain-of-custody documentation regardless of load size.
Request a quote and we'll fold your pickup into our next Central Valley route run. We also serve nearby Modesto and Fresno.
No obligation. We respond same business day.
Reviews
A little bit off the beaten track in Natomas, but Modern Waste quickly and efficiently helped me recycle my broken Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries at a reasonable $/lb fee (Sac county e-waste will not accept these items). Ramiro and Vincent were very friendly and helpful.
Chris was awesome! He came in and picked up all of the e-waste we had ready for him. He was polite and professional throughout the entire process. He handled the equipment with care, including the site equipment that was already in place. I am very happy with his service and appreciate the great job he did.
Aaron and Vincent were awesome, excellent customer service!
