Dublin has transformed over the past two decades from a highway crossroads into a Tri-Valley suburb with newer corporate offices, retail centers, and dense new residential development. Growth on that scale means a steadily increasing volume of office and retail electronics needing certified recycling. New buildings mean newer equipment on average, but the sheer pace of build-out keeps volume climbing every year regardless.
- New corporate and professional offices: workstation and networking equipment turnover as businesses move into newer Dublin office space along the Hacienda Drive and Dublin Boulevard corridors.
- Retail centers and franchise businesses: point-of-sale systems and back-office electronics recycling for the retail centers that have grown alongside the city's population, often as part of a store remodel or relocation.
Desktops, laptops, monitors, networking equipment, printers, phones, all battery types, and hard drives shredded on-site with a certificate of destruction provided for every pickup. As Dublin's business base matures, we're also seeing more requests for scheduled recurring pickups rather than one-off calls, particularly from retail chains standardizing electronics disposal across several Bay Area locations at once.
For a store remodel or an office move, the list also covers copiers, phone systems, TVs and display screens, modems, UPS battery backups, audio and video gear and battery-embedded devices.
A recurring pickup for a retail chain and a one-time office clear-out both follow our six steps:
- Containers and labels for each material.
- Training for the staff who use them.
- Pickup by our own crew on the Tri-Valley schedule.
- Tracking under a ticket number, with serial numbers when the scope includes them.
- Processing at our Sacramento facility, reuse first.
- Certificates and reports, kept in our client portal so a multi-location retailer can pull documents by store.
Modern Waste Solutions holds ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications, giving Dublin's growing business base the documentation they need as they scale and formalize vendor requirements.
No. California's universal waste rules don't allow electronic devices or batteries in a trash compactor or dumpster. Businesses can book a pickup. Dublin households aren't part of our service, since we work with businesses. Our sister company, Secure Recycle, handles consumer electronics at our Sacramento location, 3921 Pell Circle, and CalRecycle's list shows nearer collection sites.
On a scheduled pickup. Office computers and laptops go through IT asset disposition: drives are wiped or shredded first, working machines are reviewed for resale, and the rest are recycled.
Request a quote and we'll route a pickup through Dublin on our regular Tri-Valley schedule, with flexibility for newer businesses still setting up ongoing service. Retail tenants opening a new location can also arrange a one-time pickup for equipment left behind by a previous occupant. We also serve nearby Pleasanton and Livermore.
No obligation. We respond same business day.
Reviews
A little bit off the beaten track in Natomas, but Modern Waste quickly and efficiently helped me recycle my broken Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries at a reasonable $/lb fee (Sac county e-waste will not accept these items). Ramiro and Vincent were very friendly and helpful.
Chris was awesome! He came in and picked up all of the e-waste we had ready for him. He was polite and professional throughout the entire process. He handled the equipment with care, including the site equipment that was already in place. I am very happy with his service and appreciate the great job he did.
Aaron and Vincent were awesome, excellent customer service!
