You hand off the sorting rules, the containers, transport, processing and paperwork. Your side is short: decide what is leaving, resolve any legal holds on data, and give staff a labeled place to put batteries and devices between pickups. From the pickup on, the process and the documentation are ours.
Start with the equipment you already know is retiring. Yes. High-turnover sites schedule regular route-based pickups. Others book one-time cleanouts for refreshes, downsizing or facility moves.
What happens to data-bearing devices?
They go through secure data destruction, either wiping or physical destruction, with a record of what was done.
