The electronics we collect here come mostly from small commercial spaces and campus-area offices, with little from large industrial operations.

A small office on Fremont Boulevard gets our full six steps at a smaller scale: a labeled container, a quick sorting walkthrough, and a pickup by our own crew. The load is logged under a ticket number and processed at our Sacramento facility, where drives are wiped or destroyed before anything is reused or recycled. Certificates and a report follow.
No. California's universal waste rules keep TVs, computers and batteries out of household garbage. Modern Waste Solutions works only with businesses and public agencies. Seaside residents with an old desktop, laptop or TV can use our sister company Secure Recycle, which takes household electronics at 3921 Pell Circle in Sacramento, or a Monterey County site on CalRecycle's list, which will be closer for most people.
Seaside pickups run under our ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001-certified process, so even a small shop's load gets the same documented chain of custody as a large commercial one.

A little bit off the beaten track in Natomas, but Modern Waste quickly and efficiently helped me recycle my broken Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries at a reasonable $/lb fee (Sac county e-waste will not accept these items). Ramiro and Vincent were very friendly and helpful.
