A little bit off the beaten track in Natomas, but Modern Waste quickly and efficiently helped me recycle my broken Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries at a reasonable $/lb fee (Sac county e-waste will not accept these items). Ramiro and Vincent were very friendly and helpful.
Danville's downtown and surrounding neighborhoods are home to a concentration of medical practices, financial advisors, and other professionals working from small suites rather than large corporate campuses. It's a community that values discretion and a well-kept downtown, which means electronics disposal here needs to look nothing like a dumpster showing up on Hartz Avenue. Many of Danville's professional clients also travel frequently for work, so flexible, appointment-only scheduling matters more here than in a typical nine-to-five office district.
- Medical and dental practices: patient-record hard drives, imaging workstations, and office equipment retired during upgrades.
- Financial advisors and small professional firms: client-data drives and office electronics requiring certified, documented destruction.
- Small professional suites: low-volume, discreet pickup for consultants and advisors with an office downtown or along the commercial corridors. We don't pick up from residences, so anyone working from a home office can use our sister company, Secure Recycle, at 3921 Pell Circle in Sacramento.
Desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, imaging and diagnostic workstations, phones, all battery types, and hard drives destroyed on-site, with a certificate of destruction for the job regardless of how small the pickup is. At the top destruction tier, that certificate lists every drive by make, model and serial number. TVs, copiers, modems and routers, UPS backups and battery-embedded devices qualify too. We also take old office phone systems, shredders, and the networking equipment that small professional suites replace during periodic tech upgrades.
Every Danville pickup follows our ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001-certified process, giving medical and financial offices the documentation their own compliance obligations require. For medical practices in particular, that means a written certificate of destruction on file, and at the top service tier a drive-by-drive list, instead of a verbal assurance that the data is gone. Our hard drive destruction is built to meet HIPAA requirements.
Computer recycling for a Danville practice runs through the same six steps as a large client's. We provide containers sized for a small office, train whoever manages the office, and send our own crew for the pickup. The load is then tracked by ticket number, processed at our Sacramento facility with drives handled first, and documented in reports and certificates stored in our client portal.
No. California's universal waste rules prohibit putting electronic devices and batteries in the trash or a dumpster. For a practice holding patient or client records, the data exposure is the bigger risk. Danville residents can recycle household electronics through Secure Recycle or use a collection site listed by CalRecycle.
Request a quote — we schedule discreet, appointment-based pickups that fit a professional office's calendar, and we're happy to work around travel schedules for clients who split time between Danville and elsewhere. For medical practices and financial firms, we can also walk through what documentation your specific compliance program will need before the day of pickup. We also serve nearby San Ramon, Walnut Creek, and Lafayette.
No obligation. We respond same business day.

This was our first time working with MWS and they were amazing! Quick response time, efficient, and friendly. Ivan was the team member who was on site for the pickup, and he was great. He worked quickly, is very knowledgeable, and is so kind. It was so easy working with him. We are looking forward to using MWS for our E-waste and Universal waste needs in the future. - Sacramento City College Sustainability

Chris was awesome! He came in and picked up all of the e-waste we had ready for him. He was polite and professional throughout the entire process. He handled the equipment with care, including the site equipment that was already in place. I am very happy with his service and appreciate the great job he did.

I needed hard drives on some old laptops destroyed so any old personal information can't be stolen. The guys there were friendly and helpful and fast. Thanks Pavel and Vincent. Thanks Modern Waste for doing a helpful fast service to us.
