Copiers, phone systems, TVs, modems and routers, UPS backups and battery-embedded devices qualify as well, and so do the batteries from equipment that has been running for years. Keep damaged or leaking batteries separate and mention them when you book.
No. California's universal waste rules cover discarded electronics and most batteries, and they can't go in a trash cart or a dumpster. A farm office should set them aside for a pickup. Galt households can take electronics to Secure Recycle.
Our six-step program doesn't change for a small town. We supply containers, show your staff how to use them in a short training, and send our own crew for the pickup. Back at the facility, the load is tracked under a ticket number, processed with drives wiped or destroyed before reuse, and documented with a certificate and report.
Galt pickups are processed under the same ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications we use everywhere else, so a small-town business gets the same documented compliance as a downtown Sacramento firm.
Household TVs, computers and laptops go to Secure Recycle, our sister company for consumers, at 3921 Pell Circle in Sacramento. It's a drive up Highway 99, so it helps to bring everything in one trip. A Galt business or farm office can add the same items to a pickup, or deliver them to our facility through business drop-off.

A little bit off the beaten track in Natomas, but Modern Waste quickly and efficiently helped me recycle my broken Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries at a reasonable $/lb fee (Sac county e-waste will not accept these items). Ramiro and Vincent were very friendly and helpful.
